Hallo - please help. Sorry my german is not good enough to communicate to you all but I hope someone out there can understand me and help! I have travelled from Scotland in my 1977 T2 bus and now have engine problems. I have breakdown cover but they keep trying to send me to VW dealers who do not know T2! Do you know of any experts in T2 in Wolfsburg or somewhere close by? I have been told of Thomas Kuster in Blomberg but that is a long way from here.
Any help or advice would be very well received.

i can help you with a running 1500ccm type2 motor, ready to built in, incl. clutch and exaust. this one will bring you home, and you can send me the motor back later.
i know thomas küster very well, you can trust him in fixing your motor, even when its not near wolfsburg.
if you still got serious problems to find a dealer near you, will find a way to get your bus running..

He and his mechanics are still "living" aircooled.
Frank, a 1500 will not fit in a T2, the bolts for the engine bracket in the back are missing and can't be installed.

Thank you all again for your suggestions. I called Volker Daniel on the Monday morning - 2 guys came round to the hotel car park, played around in engine for 10 mins and made an adjustment. I then followed them the 5 minute drive to their garage from my hotel and the young guy spent another 20 mins on it and now running brilliant. That was on 24.09 and it is still going well. I have just finished my travel in Germany for now and I am in France.
Germany was great fun and I liked it a lot.
